King George VI Preview

We all know the best thing about Christmas is the great racing it throws up every year and it’s as good as ever this time around with a stellar renewal of the King George this showpiece.

I’d been banging on about Djakadam for as long as ever for this race which received a lot of expected criticism. However he won’t be turning up as he looked to of been rerouted to Leopardstown so ill have to continue my love affair with him on the other side of the Irish Sea.

Following Djakadam’s withdrawal I was looking strongly towards Disko as his replacement as my selection as I thought he came here with strong claims at a decent each way price. However like Djakadam he looks to of been rerouted to Ireland.

I don’t like putting up the favourites in my blog posts as it can come across a bit boring and not very adventurous but after digging as deep as I could with the race I can’t see past MIGHT BITE now. Granted he comes with an air of risk about him due to his infamous quirks but he’s the one out of the market principles that comes with solid form in my opinion. You could argue that Bristol De Mai comes here with slightly stronger form but he still has a few questions to answer for me away from Haydock.
