Doncaster November Handicap Preview
As the dying embers of the flat season slowly begin to all fade out we are let with a few more tasty affairs to get stuck into at Doncaster this weekend before the jumps once again take centre stage here, and that comes of course in the form of the November Handicap. An infamously tough race to predict punting wise an this year is no different.
Some firms will be playing up to 6 places in this so it’s always best to shop around as they say and i’m going to be going with the two selections. I’ll start off with the main fancy in this and i’m going to be frowned upon here because I can’t look away from the market leader ROYAL LINE for John Gosden. He has a superb pedigree and after his debut run I was sure he was destined for staying Group races. He was disappointing last time out on his hatrick bid when getting beat at odds on at Newbury but I think we can forgive him for that run. He’s been running at around this distance on all of his starts and they have come on grounds varying from Good to Soft to Heavy. I’d be a bit disappointed if didn’t mount a challenge to be in the frame here.
One at a much bigger price that I like here is COHESION for David Bridgwater and George Wood. He really is an intriguing runner that has been plying most of his trade on the all weather surfaces since coming here from France. His target race was the Ebor where he unfortunately pulled a muscle the day before. I think he’s a really interesting runner here and could most certainly outrun his big odds.
