Sandown Henry II Stakes Verdict.

The Henry II Stakes is the other Group contest on off at Sandown on Brigadier Gerard evening and it's a Group Three contest thats ridden over two miles.

The race is made up of a variety of progressive types and more established older stayers on the flat. Magic Circle and Mount Moriah come here looking like they've got more progressing to do this season as both won when last time out. They can be found trading at around 9/2 and 11/2 respectively.

Sheikhzayedroad the nine year old is the most experienced sort and is a proven performer at this level and higher, he's likely to give his running for trainer David Simcock and can be found at a general 5/1.

The one i'll be siding with here though is WEEKENDER for John Gosden and Frankie Dettori. Sporting those famous Prince Khalid colours I think there's a lot to come from this one this season. He won very nicely on reappearance the last day and should put in another bold showing here.
