Grade 2 action this Saturday afternoon over at Punchestown and it comes in the form of the two mile novice hurdle contest that is the Moscow Flyer.
It's attracted seven runners this time around and the betting suggests that it is going to be somewhat of a two horse race between Gordon Elliott's Mengli Khan and Willie Mullins Getabird. Two horses that sit prominently in Cheltenham Festival antepost markets.
Gordon Elliot is also represented by Hardline with Willie Mullins having Carter McKay and Makitorix. High School Days & Top Othe Ra make up the seven runner field for Henry de Bromhead and Thomas Mullins respectively.
Mengli Khan has been very impressive this season and his run the last day can probably be excused. However i'm going to side with GETABIRD in this contest. Willie Mullins has won this race with Vautour, Douvan and Min in previous years on their respective paths to the Cheltenham Festival and I think Getabird will follow suit. He's one of the horses i've most been looking forward to seeing this year and I think we've got lots of good days to come from him.
I would kindly ask all people who love horse racing to help this lady out in her dissertation for university.
