Five Flat Horses To Watch

Some very exciting prospects to get stuck into for the upcoming flat season, i've picked out five that might be worth keep an eye out for....

ORDEROFTHEGARTER

Trainer:AP O'Brien Owner: Smith,Magnier,Tabor Form: 2211

This horse has already won twice this season and has been impressive in doing so either time when by 11 lenghts and 3.75 lenghts respetively. He has a lot of big classic entries to his name following those successes and is a current 12/1 for the 2000 Guineas. It wouldn't be at all surprising to see him grab a Group 1 this season.

ATTY PERSSE:

Trainer: Roger Charlton Owner: Godolphin Form: 1

This one made a winning start when taking a 1 mile maiden contest over at Sandown last September by just under 2 lengths. He's by Frankel and has a pedigree that suggests he'll be coming into his own over middle distances a lot like his dad. I'd like to think that this one will be reaching a high standard rather quickly.

SWISS STORM

Trainer: David Elsworth Owner: Lordship Stud & D Elsworth Form: 71

Another Frankel this one is a half brother to several high class sprinters. He was very green on his debut at Haydock when finishing down the field in seventh but he was completely different when scoring in a 7f maiden at Newbury next time out when winning by just under 2 lenghts. It was certainly an eye catching win that day and there are plently of targets that he could for within a mile in the upcoming season.

KHAIRAAT

Trainer: Sir Michael Stout Owner: Hamdan Al Maktoum Form: 211

This one is certainly one to look out for to be progressing throughout the handicaps into pattern company in the upcoming season. He won well over a mile at Pontefract before being upped to 10.5f at Doncaster when collecting victory again. There's certainly a lot to like about this well bred colt.

TARTINI

Trainer: John Gosden Owner: George Strawbridge Form 1:

This is a colt that made a winning start at a huge price of 25/1 last October over at Nottingham over a mile. He was sat well off the pace that day and impressively cut back the deficit to win well. He's a half brother to a St Leger winner and several Group middle distance winners so looks certain to stay 10 furlong trips. Certainly one to watch for middle distances.
